The city of New Orleans sits on the Mississippi River, near the Gulf of Mexico, in the state of Louisiana. New Orleans is known for its mouthwatering cuisine, historical tours, imbibing on specialty drinks and the jazz music that brings it all together.
According to locals, the city was first referred to as the ‘Big Easy’ in the early 1970’s when a columnist compared the hurried life of New York City to the easy going, laid back attitude of residences in New Orleans.

Also, we have eaten at a family owned restaurant that has been serving oysters for over one hundred years. We have admired the artistic displays in Jackson Square.
