World Class skiing at the ‘Biggest Skiing in America,’ endless mountain ranges, flowing rivers, vast forests, snow-covered meadows, multitudes of wildlife, fewer crowds, and easily accessible…this is Big Sky, Montana in the winter.

R-tinerary has spent time in Big Sky during the winter months.  We know what works and we want to share our experiences with you.  On this particular trip, we had 15 people in our party, ranging in age from 3 years old to 68 years young.  This trip is great for a large party and will work well for family, friends or couples.

With this R-tinerary guide, snowmobile accompanied with professional guides to the winter wonderland of Yellowstone National Park.  Also, ski or snowboard on 5,800 acres of some of the best slopes in North America.  Next, hike to Big Sky’s most beautiful, possibly frozen, waterfall on the South Fork of the West Fork of the Gallatin River. And ride on a horse-drawn sleigh into the backcountry for a fabulous, off the grid, dining experience in a timber-framed dining hall.

We include the fabulous, local restaurants where we dined.  Also, information on all of our excursions and our accommodations.

R-tinerary has listed this trip as a long weekend.  However, add a few extra days of skiing, relaxing by the fire and getting a massage at a local spa. Maybe even, dog sled with a team of huskies, fly fish in solitude on some world famous rivers, ice skate on a lake or at the local rink, sled on Big Sky’s designated sledding hill and this easily turns into a 7-10 day winter vacation of a lifetime.

We have done the work, so you can have the fun!

As a family, we have skied lots of resorts in the western United States. Big Sky ranks at the top! So nice that the plans don’t revolve around skiing, for those non-skiers in the group. Makes for a very versatile trip.
